The Number One Interviewing Strategy To Get Any Job by Bernie Reifkind

Let’s face it interviewing is an art and it has nothing to do with your ability to do the job at hand.  It’s nerve wracking but always remember that a good strategy is key.

The Number One Interviewing Strategy To Get Any Job: Solve Needs!

Listen carefully to what the employer is looking for in hiring and then convey your ability to solve those needs.

When you discuss your outstanding efforts, abilities and accomplishments make sure that you keep the details relevant to solving the needs of the employer.  If you can solve their needs, then you are half way home!

It’s common sense but powerful.  Solve needs.

Think about it this way.  If a salesperson can prove that their product can solve a need that you have and the price is right, it’s a done deal. Sold!

Same rules apply on an interview, only you are the product.

  1. I could not agree more with this nugget of wisdom. The trick is to zero in on the need(s) either before the interview via research or early during the engagement. the best way to do the latter is to be proactive and ask questions that will surface these needs. I would also suggest that before any interview, you become familiar with the company, its products, and any recent news articles that involve them 9good or bad). Good luck
