Post Interview: The 4 Critical Topics In A Thank You Note

Posted by admin on August 13, 2009

Whether or not you choose to send an email or a formal handwritten card, a thank you note is protocol after an interview and it’s the right thing to do.

So here are the 4 areas to cover in a thank you note:

1.  Thank the employer for meeting with you.

2.  Remember something personal mentioned in the interview and mention it in your note.  “You and I share the same belief that………..”

3.  Let the employer know that you are the candidate of choice.  “I am convinced that I can be successful in this position because I can immediatley________”

4.  A final “thank you” for the interview and a polite request to meet again to further discuss this outstanding opportunity.
